THE WILDLIFE TRUST
If you have an interest in wildlife and the environment The Wildlife Trust are holding a hedge planting day on 1st November. Voluntary work like this looks great on your CV and it's good fun! See the attached poster for more details.
THE GREEN TEAM REMINDER - COURSE STARTS NEXT WEEK!
A busy, practical 16 week programme for anyone who loves working outdoors! You will work across the county and gain a national qualification in Land-based studies AS WELL AS a CSCS Certificate (Health & Safety) AND a First Aid Certificate. All great stuff to put on your CV! As an added incentive The Green Team are also offering either: a course of driving lessons, compulsory basic training for mopeds or motorbikes, a tool package, further qualifications, high street vouchers or travel expenses!
The programme starts on 2nd October with interviews being held next week - Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th September

NEWS OF ANOTHER TRAINING PROVIDER IN LUTON......
ASR LEARNING CENTRE, SUNDON PARK, LUTON

The ASR Learning Centre has been operating for almost two years. They work with 16-18 year olds that are not in education, employment or training. Here is a list of courses they deliver:
Diploma of life skills entry 3
Employability level
Hospitality and Catering level 1
Football coaching level 1
Personal Social Development level 1
Youth Work level 1 and 2
Security Door-Supervision badge
CCTV Operative badge
(Unaccredited courses first aid, health and safety, health and nutrition, super star soccer challenge and CRB check)
Most of the courses will have related work experience linked to them. The level 1 courses are equivalent to half a GCSE.
We also deliver in house apprenticeships where the learner will engage in two days training and two days work at minimum apprenticeship wage (this is subject to availability).
Incentive packages include: Luton Town Football Club Trials/Free Gym Membership/Free Driving Lessons/Free CCTV Operative Badge/Free Security Badge
