Two hours a week that could change your life............

What is it?

The FREEDOM programme is a 12 week rolling programme.

This means that you can join at any point - the benefits are the same so long as you complete the 12 weeks.

Who is it for?

The programme is open to any woman who wishes to learn more about the reality of domestic violence & abuse.

Where is it?

The FREEDOM programme is currently being run at several community venues near you.

What are its aims?

• To help women to understand the beliefs held by abusive men and in so doing, recognise which of these beliefs they have shared.
• To illustrate the effects of domestic violence on children.
• To assist women to recognise potential future abusers.
• To help women gain self-esteem and the confidence to improve the quality of their lives.
• To introduce women to community resources such as Women's Aid, the Police Domestic Violence Units, Solicitors, Counsellors, Housing Options Services.

The Traineeship will provide an insight and experience into work in Grounds Maintenance, but could be useful for a stepping stone into any practical profession.

The programme is for those who are motivated to work but lack the skills and experience that employer’s need. You will need to be unemployed, not in training and aged 16 to 23 yrs.

Traineeships are an ‘education and training programme’ and are UNPAID, though we will support you with expenses such as transport and a lunch allowance. You may also be eligible to access other financial support, depending on your circumstances.

What is The Amenity Horticulture Apprenticeship Programme 2013

John O’Conner is pleased to offer up to five 18 month Amenity Horticulture Apprenticeships based in Hertfordshire, North London, Bedfordshire and West Midlands, combining college-based learning and a workplace training placement. It’s an ideal way to begin a career in horticulture and open space management.  Apprenticeships will be at level 2 intermediate and level 3 advanced.  As an Amenity Horticulture Apprentice, you will work on a number of our contracts and get paid while you complete your education.
