Overview

Your PCSO duties might typically include:
·         Attending incidents of disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
·         Community Liaison.
·         Gathering evidence through observation.
·         School Liaison.
·         Dealing with anti social behaviour.
·         Working with partnership groups and local authorities.
·         You are likely to spend most of your time out on patrol, usually on foot or sometimes on a bicycle, mostly working on your own.
You will carry a radio to communicate with police control rooms and other colleagues, and operate out of local police stations/community offices within the Safer Neighbourhood Team.

You will often be asked to patrol areas that have been experiencing particular problems, such as estates where there have been a spate of car thefts or burglaries, or where there have been complaints about nuisance youths on the streets.
PCSOs undertake an 8 week initial training course which is classroom based, but involves some practical exercise so that they can put some of the skills they learn from the classroom into practice. During this course they will be given basic input into law and legislation that will be relevant to their role. There will also be some knowledge checks to ensure that they are retaining the knowledge that will be needed once they go out on patrol as PCSOs.

Community Support Worker
Pay: £15, 725 - £19, 126 per annum, pro rata, on appointment.
Hours: 18.5 hours per week. The support is largely required in the evenings and at weekends usually on a 1:1 basis.

With a range of skills in supporting disabled children and young people, from providing assistance with personal care to managing challenging behavior needs, you will also have the ability to be flexible enough to provide support to children and young people within the community or within their own home.





Catering Assistants
Pay: £6.29 - £6.84 per hour
Hours: Various hours available on a term time only basis.
The employer is looking for Catering Assistants to work Monday to Friday within schools on the Western side of the County. The main duties are to assist with the provision and service of the meal. You will contribute to the day to day maintenance of the kitchen area and setting up and clearing of the dining room.
