Brief Description

£8,916 per annum. Permanent part time, 1200 hours per year, annualised.

Detailed Description

Putting your excellent people skills to the best possible use, you’ll be selling admission tickets, promoting membership and Gift Aid – helping us to meet our targets. Most importantly, you’ll be welcoming our visitors so warmly that they feel like guests as they arrive and friends by the time they leave.

You’ve got a smile and a story for everyone. That’s something all our people have in common. We’d also like you to have experience in customer service and sales. Job Requirements

While the surroundings are amazing and spectacular, make no mistake this is a demanding role, and one that calls for a very special individual. You’ll need to be practical and hands-on, with excellent communication and sales skills, and you will need to be confident working to sales targets. You will be comfortable working on your own or as part of a team.

It would be great if you’ve worked in a customer facing role before, such as retail or tourism, but more than anything, it’s more important that you have bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

You’ll often find yourself managing a number of competing demands and requests. As well as good IT skills, you’ll need a full driving licence.

Site Agent/Facilities Services Apprentice

The successful applicant will work with the Site Manager where you will undertake a range of duties including :
  • Helping to care for the grounds including litter picking, sweeping paths and car park areas
  • DIY repairs and maintenance including painting and decorating, changing lightbulbs and assisting with minor repairs as requested
  • cut the hedges around the site, mow lawns and paddock areas and make tidy areas around the farm as necessary
  • Supporting site manger to carry out weekly safety checks such as fire alarm and Legionella flushing regimes
  • help move furniture in preparation for teaching sessions/conferences as required by centre staff
  • Working with other members of staff to ensure the farm is clean, safe and secure
  • Welcoming contractors who visit the farm to carry out work, ensuring appropriate health and safety paperwork is completed

  • After 6 months, you will have opportunities to go for an assessment and gain access to management.
